Autumn Fights Back!
Finally the weather has turned a corner here in the deep south. Rather than the days peaking at a hot 97 degrees, it spares us and stops at a warm 82 degrees. I'm well aware that the low eightys hardly constitutes itself as autumnal weather, but I'll take any relief from the gruesome heat.
Seeing that things are beginning to cool, I've been shuffling through my closet and rediscovering my old loves that I haven't seen in months. I've been steadily wearing more scarves and last week I even busted out my favorite boots. With every seasonal change I cannot help but want to add to my collection. My closet always has room for one more pair of boots.
Here's an outfit that really suits the South Carolinian autumn, and is something I'd sport on a lazy day. My husband, Ted, actually liked the outfit so much that he's taking me shopping this weekend! We're hoping to recreate it in our own little way. Wish us luck and keep an eye out for an update.

Saturday Affectation

Diamond Anniversary
The week of our wedding anniversary is probably one of my favorite times of year. We decided a long time ago that we'd always consider the Third Friday in September our anniversary regardless of the date. In preparation of our Friday celebration my sweetheart, Ted, and I tend to treat each other with extra special little bits throughout. Ted will treat me to a surprise cup of coffee in the morning and I'll prepare homemade Indian food (one of the husband's favorite meals).
Anniversary week is also the perfect excuse for practically everything! An excuse to splurge a little on gifts (which I have), an excuse to indulge and an excuse to spend my time extra time with my darling. When I noticed the lovely dress above, I just needed an excuse to wear it somewhere. What could be more appropriate than our anniversary! The entire outfit is surrounded by the gorgeousness of this diamond studded dress and thoughts of our anniversary.
